Overview
In today's business environment, more and more assets are accessible online and the trend is for businesses to continue placing a greater emphasis on their web-portals and online offerings to customers. This makes hacking into an organisation's network a greater draw for hackers whose motivations have changed from fame to fortune.
Their aim is to steal valuable customer data for use in fraudulent transactions and their methods are becoming increasingly sophisticated in light of the new malware tools available today.
Businesses cannot afford to take the back seat and merely comply with the traditional aspects of security - firewalls, network intrusion detection systems, identity management systems and virus scans by themselves are no longer enough. The possession of such technology does not mean that the system will be safe from hacking attempts.
The 3rd Annual SecurAsia Congress will focus on protecting the critical assets of the organisation from attack, taking the holistic view that the only way to ensure the security of an organisation is through the combined effort of training, using the right tools and the creation of the right policies to prevent, mitigate and should the worst occur, recover from an attack.
