Join us December 10, 2009 for the fifth annual Massachusetts Conference for Women! Keynote speakers include Suze Orman, America's most recognized personal finance expert; Marcus Buckingham, leading business consultant and New York Times bestselling author; Tory Johnson, CEO of Women For Hire and workplace contributor on "Good Morning America"; Ruth Simmons, president of Brown University; First Lady of MA Diane Patrick and many more!
Would love to hear from you if this is a wise investment of time and $$. The lineup sounds fabulous though I've seen Tory and Suze live in the past. Plus, would anyone like to carpool from the Attleboro/Mansfield area?
I attended and it was certainly interesting to hear the speeches (some were quite moving & inspiring), but of all the people I met nothing really came of having attended the event. Most of the messages I receive from being on the distribution list are sales solicitations in one form or anther. It is a great event for networking and meeting people, but I wouldn't hope for more than that. A note about Suze Orman - there has been a reasonable amount of recent debate about her methods and recommendations. Important to keep that in mind while listening to her.
I've attended 3 of the last 4 of these, and have found them to be worth-while and inspiring. Helped me figure out how to get out of a bad pattern of ill-fitting jobs and find a company where I am truly happy. I think that the range of topics in the break-out sessions are great for women at all stages of their lives/careers. Also - I just jump on the Commuter rail, and take a silver-line bus from South Station to the convention center. So much easier than driving in (from Stoughton/Canton area).
If you've registered for the Conference, please RSVP here on our LinkedIn event page! It's a great way to see who else will be there, connect before the Conference, and follow up after the event. Make the most of your networking opportunities!
