Due to the economic downturn organizations have gone through historical levels of downsizing and reduction of Workplace Learning and Development (WLD) functions and budgets. With modest increases in budgets projected for 2010 where will WLD go? In-sourcing (using internal resources to design and/or deliver), outsourcing (vendors and independent contractors) and technology-based formal and social learning channels for virtual and informal learning will all be considered for meeting limited management demand for talent WLD that delivers business results and return on investment.
This year's Workforce Challenge is designed to help you prepare for WLD landscape in 2010. With concurrent sessions, career power coaching and a townhall meeting you will leave prepared for what's ahead!
The value for your time and investment is outstanding! Where else can you get a Keynote Speaker, 3 Concurrent Session Speakers, access to all of the ASTD Atlanta chapter’s Special/Geo Interest Group, access to 6 quality Vendors, Career Coaching, Chapter Membership Information and Professional Networking all in 5.5 hours? The Georgia Tech Global Learning Center (GTGLC) is a terrific venue.
