Our vision is to continue to evolve Scientific Sessions to ensure it remains the premier cardiovascular conference in the world,” said Mariell Jessup, M.D., chair of the Committee for Scientific Sessions Program. “Our goal is for everyone in the field of cardiovascular science to attend, learn a great deal and change how they do their jobs when they return home.”
More than 11,000 abstracts in 98 categories are submitted each year from scientists worldwide, with only one-third selected for the conference. Presentation of scientific abstracts will expand this year to allow for more interaction between the abstract presenter, moderator and audience.
Programming will center on seven multidisciplinary cardiovascular cores: Cardiovascular Imaging Epidemiology and Prevention of CV Disease: Physiology, Pharmacology, and Lifestyle Genetics, Genomics and Congenital CV Disorders Heart Rhythm Disorders and Resuscitation Science Myocardium: Development, Function, and Failure Vascular Disease: Catheter-Based and Surgical Interventions Vascular Disease: Biology and Clinical Science (Non-Interventional)
