On Monday, December 7, 2009, the Embedded Systems Institute in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, is hosting the ArtistDesign Workshop on Embedded Systems in Healthcare.

Goals of the workshop include: * Increasing the understanding in the ArtistDesign community of issues in embedded systems engineering for the healthcare industry; * Identifying promising (new) research directions.

Target audience: * Architects, designers, or managers working for companies in the healthcare industry; * Participants in the ArtistDesign network (interested in) doing research in the healthcare domain.

Confirmed industrial speakers: We have secured presentations of three system architects with an active role in the healthcare industry: Wim Pasman (Philips Healthcare), René Roos (Cochlear), and Johan Henning (Nucletron).

The program has not been finalized, hence, there is room to accommodate your suggestions and/or presentations. We are looking for further contributions from academic and industrial researchers with experience in the healthcare domain.
