With a very heavy heart I have to inform you all that Ashok Kamte ACP, IPS (our batch mate - 1986) lost his life fighting the terror attack in Mumbai last night.
Being an Additional Commissioner of Police he did not have to be in the thick of things on the ground but Ashok being Ashok would never take a back seat and let another innocent be killed so he stepped in and lost his own life in the process.
Let us pray for his soul and let us all pray for Vinny and the kids.
