As one of the key summits in Europe, Biomedica symbolizes the success of life science in the Top Technology Region from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. In less than four years it has become one of the most important European interdisciplinary congresses dedicated to science meeting business.

It was launched in Aachen in 2007, held in Maastricht in 2008, and was hosted in Liège in 2009. In the upcoming years, starting in Aachen in 2010, Biomedica will focus more on top technology centres across the entire Euregio, being Aachen, Eindhoven, Hasselt, Leuven, Liège and Maastricht.
