Thus, the need to organize The Boston Tea Party Redux—demonstrating our distain for the violation of our rights. The first event is The Boston Tea Party 2009 to be held on December 16, 2009. This symbolically marks the 236th anniversary of the original tea party. Wait until other states like my home state of Minnesota gets wind of this. First it was a tobacco sin tax (MN introduced a 75% tax on tobacco products.) Think of the latitude the government could have with deciding what foods cause obesity and what doesn't. How about a dumb tax for watching too much TV? The cable companies can add the tax to your bill if it’s on for too many hours or on the wrong stations (as determined by the government). I personally want a dumb jock tax. Every time someone mentions sports at business I get to poke them in they eye as a tax.
