Fiduciary Liability ::1 CE Credit

When the market is acting irrational, which many experts believe we are experiencing, what should an employer do to protectboth themselves and their employees? Knowing that the trustee (usually the owners) can be held personally liable for the investment decisions of their employees, what can a company do to protect itself,while improving the benefits of the employees? In this course, we will discuss some of the primary steps that should be taken by every business offering a retirement plan, from both the initial discussions about choosing a vendor to keeping a good due diligence file.

  • Recognizing and protecting your clients from the Fiduciary Responsibilities of a retirement plan

  • Risk associated with Corporate retirement plans, understanding the exposure and protections offered to employers

  • Understanding Fiduciary Responsibility: what can a business owner do to protect their plan
