This is NOT a sales event. You are also NOT required to trade contacts. The hope is that you are able to meet people who you can become comfortable enough with to introduce them to your contacts at a later date.
A structured “speed network” event. Attendees are broken into smaller groups and each person is allowed a few minutes to tell the group their story. Most importantly who they are, their capabilities and what the group can help them with.
Once everyone has had a chance to speak, the groups are reshuffled and the process starts over. Depending on attendance, it is possible to meet 25-50 new contacts in 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
I am hoping to attend, though I teach a workshop in the AM and normally I have follow up meeting but I will see if I can reschedule that so I can attend this!
