The Forum by Corpus Operis will endeavor to define the next generation, global workforce-driven economy. With the recent financial crisis and global recession still in process, governments, major employers, workers, students, politicians, economic development agencies, social developers, entrepreneurs, and the general public are concentrating on both job creation and workforce development and restructuring as critical factors in the overall economic recovery. Moreover, as public and private sectors work to rebuild facets of the economy - financial sector, tax structures, subsidies etc. - we must not underestimate the priority of understanding the tenets of the emerging new workforce paradigm - one where multinationals scramble to win market battles through workforce strategies, where innovation and entrepreneurship will be required of workers in all sectors at all levels and in unprecedented ways and where human capital advantage could trump political and financial capital as the top global currency of growth.
