NAPLES, CITTÀ DELLA SCIENZA - BIC 2009, DECEMBER 15 - 16 COOPERATION MEETING

Città della Scienza SpA, Business Innovation Centre, is agency of Campania Region Government which plans and manages european cooperation activities, fund by POR Campania EFDR 2007 – 2013, the Operational Program of Region according to Structural Funds. The society manages a cooperation project about biotechnology sector aimed to develop interaction among actors as, local authorities, research centers, universities, scientific parks, incubators, situated in Campania Region and other countries of European Union. Thereof, the realization of an event where public and private actors of biotechnology sector can describe own experience, whose purpose is to deep the knowledge of research and technological innovation zone in Europe and the sharing of highly qualified specialized expertise, activities, services, best practices, network, projects and so on. For all that, the aim is to stimulate the birth of an European network about biotechnology sector composed by highly qualified actors in order to develop cooperation among them and their local authorities and to increase the competitiveness in each local zone. The event, lasting two days, will be composed by: • a great institutional meeting and smaller events as workshops or presentations (country presentations sector or company presentations) during the first day. In the institutional meeting will be the presentation of the project to public and technical actors of biotechnology sector. After will be: country presentations in order to know the experience and excellence of biotechnology actors and public authorities in other european countries; a technical workshop with debate and definition of partnerships, an agreement and an institutional cooperation plan action. • a road show, that is visits with biotech qualified expertise in Campania Region during the second day.
