Dear Colleague, The European Geophysical Union is organizing its General Assembly (Edition 2010) in Vienna, Austria, from May 2nd to 7th, 2010. This is a perfect opportunity to team up once more with your peers and colleagues from over the globe, active in the field of Remote Sensing. Consider joining the: Bio-geosciences Session BG2.8 on: “The remote sensing of terrestrial ecosystems, bio-geophysical parameters, modeling, data assimilation and atmospheric interactions”. Session BG2.8 offers an EGU platform for knowledge and information exchange on the remote sensing of terrestrial ecosystems and atmosphere. The main focus of this session are the bio-geosciences. Session BG2.8 solicits for contributions presenting strategies, approaches and methodologies to assimilate remote sensing and in-situ data into bio-geophysical frameworks to estimate the large cluster of parameters associated with bio-geophysics in the spectral, spatial, angular multi-temporal as well as polarimetric dimensions. To submit an abstract for this multidisciplinary session go to the EGU 2010 website by following link: http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2010/session/2634 where you will find an abstract submission link. Please note that the deadline for abstract submission is strictly January 18th, 2010. The conveners of this session hope to meet you all in Vienna next year. With our best personal regards, Convener: Frank Veroustraete Co-Conveners: Inge Jonckheere Klaus Scipal Willem W. Verstraeten
