EuroSonic Noorderslag in short... With 2650 music professionals and over 100 panels, presentations and meetings at its conference and 250 showcases from the best European talent performing at its festivals, EuroSonic Noorderslag serves as the prime discussion and network platform and showcase festival for the European music industry. Taking place in Groningen in the north of the Netherlands (2,5 hours from Amsterdam), EuroSonic Noorderslag consists of two festivals; EuroSonic (thu / fri) and Noorderslag (sat) and a three day conference. Wednesday?! Yes! EuroSonic Noorderslag will now kick-off with an official Wednesday program. Of course some of you already arrived for an early check in on Wednesday but now there is more to do than hanging around in the local bar. The European Festival Awards will culminate in a live ceremony taking place at the Grand Theatre on Wednesday January 13th, 2010. Participation in the European Festival Awards will be eligible (at no cost) to every festival listed on the Virtual Festivals Europe website. Application details will be announced shortly.
