Mary Giacomini will be the featured artist for the month of April at The Great Frame Up in the Promenade Shops at Centerra, 5943 Sky Pond Dr., E130 in Loveland, Colorado.

She is gathering her favorite chair themed paintings for the first time for " The Chair Show: Places to be Peaceful". The opening will be on Friday April 3 from 6-8pm which is open to the public. The paintings will be on display through April 2009.

Mary Giacomini is a Loveland, Colorado professional artist whose art reflects her love of color, being in the mountains and peaceful places. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Art degree from the University of Minnesota in and has lived in Colorado for 17 years. She continues to further her education by working with other artists, attending workshops, portrait painting sessions and teaching art at the Loveland Museum and the Chilson Center in Loveland . Mary paints with watercolor, pastel, acrylic and oil but the paintings share a common theme; a place she's been inspired by where she would like return. The chair series stemmed from a love of Adirondack chairs but has expanded to include antique shell chairs, benches,and porches, which has been popular with her collectors as well. Her art is collected nationally including corporate as well as commissioned work. She has been accepted into the Art Association of Northern Colorado's 2009 National Show at the Lincoln center in Ft. Collins (April 2009) and currently has two pieces on display at DIA until the end of May when the show moves to the State Capitol in Denver for the summer.
