LinkedIn - A Powerful Tool to Manage Your Contacts and Build Your Network
LinkedIn can help you build your network, but it can do so much more for you. Among what I will cover: • How to save time building your contacts in your Outlook email program with the fabulous tool you can download from the LinkedIn site. You can get this for free and it works even better than wonderful software I used before that cost $100. Even if you never use LinkedIn, this tool is worth the price of admission. It can save you hours of time over the next year. • Why your LinkedIn profile is much more powerful than a resume and without the stigma of a resume. What you can do in your profile to maximize your presence and credibility, even if on the job, doing things you cannot do with a resume. • How to incorporate LinkedIn into to your networking process. What you can do with LinkedIn with new contacts that you meet, to see where they rank and turn them into a connection. • Using groups to enhance your effectiveness in your job or search. • How to give thanks through recommendations to those who have done good work for you in the past (or those you worked for). Building your credibility through recommendations. • How to find answers to questions and demonstrate your expertise helping others with their questions.
Whether you are a LinkedIn user who wants to learn how to use it better or you are not sure about LinkedIn but could use some good ideas on how to build your contact list in Outlook outside of LinkedIn, I have great things to share no matter where you are in the spectrum.
