In 2009, the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) revised revised a number of their safety standards in such areas as electrical safety, hazardous locations, NFPA 70E and personal protective equipment (PPE).

The Workplace Safety Awareness Council has been awarded a Federal grant to develop and deliver free OSHA training covering these new changes and the half-day classes begin in March 2009.
