“The architecture of our stations is changing and we are living through a second renaissance in rail travel. Suppliers to the U.K rail sector have a major role to play in helping the industry address the wider issues of environmental, technical and commercial sustainability.
Railways around the world are looking to U.K based companies for expertise in consulting, engineering and manufacturing. This event will showcase those champions of industry. It will offer a high profile platform for all those involved to promote their company’s contribution to the development and use of cleaner, more energy efficient technologies used in modern station design”
Chris Williams Lilley Sales Manager Emergency Power Systems plc
News Nugget! The DNA of our rural and city railways stations is changing to keep pace with modern technology and increase in passenger numbers. “We intend to lift the lid on a modern station and take a peek at the real innovators and talent here in our own back yard” says Chris Williams-Lilley - Engineer and event founder. This is an all NEW event that will be concentrating on The Future of Station Design. It will see a wide variety of key note speakers detail their vision. It looks set to show how the United Kingdom leads the way in sustainable construction practices. Injecting a sense history and legacy from engineering and architectural greats. Mark Williams (Actor and Engineer) will deliver his first ever speech on his vision and much loved host Maggie Philbin (BBC Presenter) will anchor the presentations with the fun and flair she is so well known for.
