INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN PARIS

Special Guest Country: Japan

The business clusters CAP DIGITAL (www.capdigital.com) and MEDIA & NETWORKS (www.images-et-reseaux.com), together with the European platform New Electronic Media (NEM, www.nem-initiative.org) and ITEMS International are organising an international conference on the future of television.

The programme committee is chaired by Janine Langlois-Glandier, chairwoman of the Mobile TV Forum and an important personality of the French audio visual scene.

The conference will take place on 9 and 10 November 2009 in Paris, with Japan as special guest country.

Important structural changes are affecting the television sector and the image market in general. Technological advancements are transforming the entire industry chain: production, postproduction and distribution. These changes are creating new potential usages and are influencing current business models.

FUTURE TV intends to explore these changes. The conference will be attended by more than 600 experts and professionals of the sector.

Future TV is planned to become a major event in its field and will alternate annually between Paris and Brittany.

Additionally, a Think Tank will be set up by MEDIA & NETWORKS and CAP DIGITAL (within the framework of its Think Digital Programme thinkdigital.capdigital.com) in order to explore these questions in depth. CAP DIGITAL will pilot the Think Tank in 2009.
