If you are using Visual Studio - you MUST attend this talk. This is the "nuts and bolts" of what you do every day. One of the most useful 90 minutes you can spend. Sara Ford is the Program Manager for CodePlex, Microsoft’s open source project hosting site. Prior to joining CodePlex, she worked 6 years on the Visual Studio Core Team. Her roles on the Visual Studio Core Team included running the Power Toys for Visual Studio as open source projects on CodePlex, testing the Visual Studio environment, and driving the effort to make Visual Studio 2005 accessible to developers who are blind or have low-vision. She continues to run the Visual Studio Tip of the Day on her blog.

What is the time zone for the given time ?
the timezone is PDT.. here's a link to local timezones: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?day=24&month=9&year=2009&hour=10&min=30&sec=0&p1=1244
Michael, I believe that it's going to be 19:30 in France.
Here is the link to add it to Outlook Calendar: http://lidnug.org/CMSModules/EventManager/CMSPages/AddToOutlook.aspx?eventid=378
Please, Let me know time zone in india..
should be 11:00 pm in India
Subscribing to our online calendar will give you the times automatically in your local timezone: webcal://cid-2fbcf8017242e87b.calendar.live.com/calendar/Linked+In+.NET+User+Group+Events/calendar.ics This will also have the added benefit of automatically showing you upcoming appointments as we publicise them, and all from within your standard calendar application e.g. Outlook, Windows Live Mail etc. etc.
Looking forward for this. :)
Inbar, is outlook supposed to transform the time zone accordingly with the link above? If it is then it puts it at 10:30am for my calendar here in the UK :-S, and that's defo not right.
Great, I've actually used some of the tips like usign VS with multiple monitors! Thanks for the opportunity! Cheers Gastón
Peter, it should. Sounds like a bug to me...
Will Resharper be covered?
Adam, I don't think so. The focus is out-of-the-box functionality. Now, you can ask will VS10 be covered.... I don't know ;)
could someone tell me when this event actually happens, when looking in the mail it states 9:30 AM PDT, looking at this appointment it states 10:30 AM which isn't the correct time in my time zone since I'm in europe. For us it should be 6:30 PM CET
Well it's 04:30 I believe in NZ... Gasp!
I attempted to follow the LiveMeeting link and log-into the meeting way-early, hoping that it would tell me when the real start-time was: Title: LinkedIn .NET User Group Meeting ID: G2K4BH Start Time:Thursday, January 08, 2009 5:59:00 PM GMT-5:0 This is way messed-up . . . Someone please tell us when the conference REALLY is...
I'm sorry about the confusion, the talk is at 10:30 AM PDT (US West Coast). Let me know what time zone you're at and I'll tell you the local time for the talk for you.
10:30:00 a.m. Thursday September 24, 2009 in America/New_York converts to 04:30:00 p.m. Thursday September 24, 2009 in CET That's 16:30 in 24h.
I'm so sorry for adding to the confusion! It's 7:30 PM CET! 7:30 = 19:30 in 24h
Folks, As mentioned by Steffen Vangsgaard below, for attendants from Western Europe, the time is 19:30 (7:30PM). See you all online.
If I am wrong, the time is 10:00 PM IST.
If we miss any recoding available.
I am in the meeting now but nothing is showing (10:36 EDT)
The link is to an old meeting. Whst is teh current link?
So if you can't see the comment below by Inbar, the talk will be 1:30EST == 10:30AM PDT
Thanks for the post on time difference. Guess I didn't have to cut my meeting short! :)
Meeting starts in 81 minutes....
Worldwide points in time should really be posted with links like http://is.gd/3DrZJ instead of just someones local time (either with time zone designation or not)...
Talk starts in 8 minutes
Next time you do one of these, can you add the link / phone number for the audio also, this isn't very useful to watch without audio.
I don't seem to have the correct link. It goes to an old one.
There's no sound for me. Anyone has the same experience? More importantly, how can I fix this in MS Office Live Meeting?
can't get in.....
Does anyone did to get a chance to record the session ???, I was unable to attend. If anybody did, please share... Regards, Tushar
I would also be very much interested to know if the evnt was recorded as I couldnt attend it. If so, please do include the link for the recording. Regards, Maha
