Consumer Directed Choices (CDC) is thrilled to offer its inaugural Living Healthy & Independent at Home Fair on Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The greater capital region has a diverse community with a large population who are faced with some form of disability as a result of an accident, aging, disease or other cause and they have the same desire to be active, productive members of society.
This is your chance to be a part of an event that focuses on empowering individuals, their families and caregivers by providing them the resources for seniors and people with disabilities to live healthy and independently in the community. Your opportunity to publicly promote innovative products and/or services is here! Consumer Directed Choices seeks businesses that have made advancements in long term care community options such as assistive technologies, accessible living resources, etc. Our mission is to provide and advance community based support to promote self-determination for people with disabilities and their families. At the fair, we strongly encourage vendors to connect with the community through interactive exhibits, educational sessions and health screenings. Fair attendance is FREE to the public and all vendor fees will benefit CDC’s “Access to Technology Fund” that will provide computers to seniors and people with disabilities utilizing our program.
