Localization and Translation Thailand is a collaborative event between ProZ.com, the largest online community of translators, the Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA), the leading organization for companies involved in localization and globalization, and the Royal Institute of Thailand on behalf of the host country. This conference provides a unique opportunity for users of translation, translation technology providers, and workers in the translation industry to compare views and collaborate in order to cultivate the industry and increase business and revenue opportunities. Demand is growing for localization activities from western companies are increasingly going into Asia. At the same time many Asian companies are now beginning to enter western markets and intra-Asian localization is booming. Given the significant growth potential manifesting in the market, collaboration between markets, industry groups, technology companies, language service providers, and translators is more important today that ever before. This conference is aimed towards maximizing opportunities for revenue and growth for all players in the industry. Multiple themes will be covered over the three-day program, providing critical industry information to the unique mix of attendees from across the industry. The conference will focus on the business side of translation and the industry, progress into collaboration between translators and industry, and best practices and techniques. Throughout the conference, there will be a number of panels focused on broad range of topics that link each of the different participants in the translation life-cycle to each other.
