Prior to joining MAG, Brian was a tax attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Washington, DC. He has worked on numerous mergers and acquisitions, including Duke Energy's spin-off of its natural gas business in 2007. Brian also has significant experience working with hedge funds, companies, and individuals on tax issues involved in complex financial transactions.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Brian was a management consultant with Burns & McDonnell. He previously served in the United States Army and in the Army National Guard as a company commander.
Brian is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY with a B.S. in Engineering Management. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and is licensed to practice law in Maryland and Washington, DC.
Prior to forming MAG, Mitch held financial advisory positions with leading investment banks focused on M&A for defense and government service companies. Previously, he was an Army Captain and commanded an Infantry Company in the Middle East. Mitch is Airborne and Ranger qualified.
Mitch is an Honors Graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He received his M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his M.P.A. from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He is licensed with FINRA as a Registered General Securities Principal and FINOP (Series 7, 24, 28, 63).
Mitch is head of the Finance and Accounting Silo for the American Small Business Coalition. Additionally, he is regularly quoted in publications such as Washington Technology and has provided industry commentary for Federal News Radio.
