IMI will soon launch a new Call for proposals for research projects in the field of oncology, inflammation, infectious diseases and knowledge management.
At the Open Information Day of 17 November 2009 in Brussels, potential applicants from academic teams, SMEs and non-profit organizations will receive information regarding the preparation of expressions of interest in response to the new Call.
The agenda of the day includes workshops during which potential applicants have the opportunity to interact with topic coordinators.
The Innovative Medicines Initiative is a European Community body, created to enhance Europe’s competitiveness in the pharmaceutical sector by promoting focused research. The IMI budget for the period 2007-2014 is €1 billion provided by the Seventh Framework Programme for Research of the European Commission, matched with at least €1 billion, provided in kind by the member companies of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).
