Promise meetings are held on the first three Thursdays of each month at Leith Business Exchange, 5 Mitchell Street, Leith, Edinburgh, right in the heart of the city.

Members and guests gather from 6.45am onwards to circulate informally, with the meeting starting promptly at 7am. A full continental breakfast is served before the meeting, which ends at 8:30am - in time for the start of a new business day.

Each meeting consists of one of two formats

‘Magic minute’ presentations - Each member gives a brief ‘magic minute’ presentation of their business proposition. As part of this, specific and clear business introductions are sought and identified..

Business carousel - Carousel meetings involve the group splitting into smaller sub-groups to focus on the exchange of business news and ideas, with a particular emphasis on identifying areas where members can work together or refer on to each other’s contacts. Each sub-group changes from meeting to meeting to maximise opportunities for all.

It’s a great way of discovering more valuable connections with potential new customers and provides a valuable forum for making specific requests for introductions to particular businesses or types of business.
