The Employer Brand is arguably of more importance than the consumer brand and in this master class the commercial case is given for why any business ignoring this fact is unlikely to be successful.
The Co-operative has invested heavily in its consumer brand and has also embarked on a journey of doing the same with its Employer Brand. The Co-operative views this as a huge commercial opportunity and is now beginning to see the benefits. Customers are returning to The Co-operative, and potential employees are now showing a higher level of interest in working there than ever before. How has this been achieved?
Based in Manchester, Jackie Lanham heads the team which has worked on this initiative at The Co-operative. We are fortunate that she has agreed to present to the Society the background to this initiative and how it was developed, and, of course, the commercial benefits.
Jackie will be joined by Neil Harrison, from TMP, who will be giving further insight into the planning and research behind a successful brand, and the value that a strong employer brand brings to an organisation.
This meeting is being held on the occasion of the CIPD conference in Manchester. It is free to all those attending the conference. The presentation will start at 6.00 pm, and drinks and refreshments will be available from 5.30 pm. The evening will finish at approximately 7.30 pm.
We should like to thank TMP for their sponsorship and for hosting this event.
