Lo scopo dell'evento è di coinvolgere gli sviluppatori Italiani alla scoperta di Romulus e di tecniche innovative per lo sviluppo di applicazioni. Lo sviluppo di Web App è cambiato radicalmente negli ultimi anni dove si sono affacciate numerose tecnologie decisamente più produttive rispetto allo sviluppo J2EE.

Lo scopo di Romulus è quello di incrementare la produttività continuando a utilizzare Java come piattaforma e linguaggio, ma affiancato da nuove tecnologie e strumenti.

L'evento sarà estremamente pratico, con una sessione "hands-on" dove tutti potranno seguire step-by-step lo speaker nella costruzione di una Web App ispirata a Twitter. Le sessioni successive mostreranno come utilizzare i strumenti di Mash-Up di Romulus per estrarre le informazioni dall'applicazione integrandole con altri servizi "Social" come Google Maps, Flickr e perchè no Twitter stesso.

Durante l'evento verranno offerti entrambi i break e il pranzo a buffet. L'evento sarà completamente finanziato dai fondi europei per lo sviluppo e l'innovazione.
