It says it is mainly for sales people and business owners - will it be any good for those, like, me in the charity sector?!
What is your job in the charity sector? I am sure there can be opportunities for everybody, but it depends what you are looking for, and what you are prepared to contribute.
Hi David, Not sure if this networking event will be any good to me - film sector financing is a unique beast and people, unless already involved, seem reluctant to get inside.....too high risk they might claim. Still, if there is any likelihood of other film sector people or potential investors there then it might be worth attending. Cheers, Nick
I HATE talking to people with no vitual profile, but - - - Nick- - David and I have jsut linked in - - - I am HR and Employment law - - and on the face of it - you and I have no link - BUT - - I link in with another colleague of mine - - who links in to mega bucks venture capitalists - - and altho I know at the moment they are looking for manufacturing, and IT/telecommunications - - (which is the latest call) - - that is not to say that I couldn't put to my contact an indication of interest - - for his to put into his venture capitalists - - - etc. I think that the key question and issue from David, is that you just don't know who has the contacts with the appropriate organisations. I equally have done work with the BBC. I don't know myself at the moment if I am attending- - but the key issue that David is putting across - - is that, for example, IF I chose to attend, whilst I am not in the business of investing in you - - I might know someone who can develop it further - -
