One of the biggest challenges facing the sector is how we are going to deliver truly "Sustainable" Buildings?

RIBA WM and EH Smith have joined forces once again to offer some stimulation and information.

The day is split into two halves, firstly Howard Liddell, author of "Eco-Minimalism - The Antidote to Eco-Bling" will be starting off the day by giving his views on the 'big issues.'

Howard is a practising Architect and is a principal in the Scottish/ Norwegian Ecological Design practice Gaia Architects, and visiting Professor at Oslo University. He is also the RIAS Sustainability spokesman and a principal adviser to the Scottish Executive on Sustainability and acts as a consultant on eco-building and urban ecology worldwide.

The second part of the day will be a series of CPD's on new building methods and materials ranging from the carbon negative Hemcrete walling system to understanding Airtightness and Moisture Management.

Architects attending will be able to claim CPD points.
