Non-Traditional Marketing: Tools for Telling Your Story
Akron/Canton American Marketing Association (AMA) in partnership with the Center for Nonprofit Excellence will host a boot camp on ways to use non-traditional marketing to tell your company's story. In these tough economic times,
Finding innovative and cost-effective ways to market are more important than ever before. This interactive workshop is for any nonprofit organization or business looking for a creative way to connect your mission and services to clients, donors, and key stakeholders.
Attendees will select two small group roundtable discussions to participate in. Each small group session features a presentation and informal dialog. This program is presented in collaboration with the Akron/Canton Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA).
Roundtable Topics:
1.) Story Banking: Stories connect your donors, volunteers, and clients to your mission and services on a personal level. Learn how to craft, store and effectively use stories to inspire and educate.
2.) Three Terrific Tools for Getting Noticed on the Web: Flip cameras, Google Ad Words, and Twitter are low-cost or free tools for getting your message and your mission out in the community. Learn how these technologies works, why you should consider using them, and how to navigate several common roadblocks.
Marketing Your Organization from the Inside Out: An impression about your organization is created with every customer interaction. How your employees answer the phone, the look and feel of your reception area, and the quality of your email and print correspondence all tell a story about your organization. Learn tools and strategies for ensuring you are communicating the right message.
