dimeRocker, in partnership with Unity Technologies and Telefilm's New Media Fund, invites you to the first Montreal Unity Users Group Networking Event!

The Unity Users Group (UUG) is a not-for-profit community-building resource to inform and connect Unity 3D developers -- and aspiring developers -- worldwide. Located online at www.UnityUsersGroup.com, the UUG delivers on its promise through real-world networking events, keynote presentations, Q&A opportunities with Unity founders and practical skills workshops.

Keynote Speaker:

David Helgason, Unity Technologies CEO and co-founder- David Helgason has served as CEP of the game technology company Unity Technologies sicne co-founding it in 2003. An entrepreneur, visionary and ex-programmer, David's job is to lead the Unity team to stardom while making sure that each step is taken with love and care. Previously, David founded and participated in several start-ups in fileds such as news and community integration, music distribution and consulting. He currently serves on the boards of several game and technology start-ups as well.

Details:

UUG’s initial focus is on establishing and maintaining regional chapters in the key game development cities of San Francisco, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto, with plans to branch out to other top locales soon thereafter. To kick off the Montreal chapter, UUG is hosting a premiere networking event on Monday, Nov. 16, following a Unity Skills Development Workshop led again by Mr. Helgason.

Admission for the networking event is $10. This includes a free drink, eats and a chance to win a Unity License valued at $1,500!
