Announcing the details for my Fall 2009 Writing Retreat - Women: Write and Inspire: Leaving A Legacy for Others
Imagine spending time writing in a circle of women inside an intimate cottage retreat center, then spending time in a park-like setting alongside the flowing waters of a peaceful river in warm sunny Tampa, Florida, in November.
We will be a group of 20 women, sharing time and space, stories and words of wisdom, passed down from our foremothers. There will be times we write; draw, make art and collage; and times we sit quietly to reflect, journal, collect thoughts on the page. The 2-day retreat will follow a loose schedule of activities so everyone attending fills the well they came to fill.
I chose this season and date as the perfect pre-holiday gift you can give yourself (or to a loved one) before the traditional end of year holiday hustle bustle.
I've done all the work for you: reserved the conference center, secured your overnight guest accommodations, ordered 5 wholesome meals, mapped out 2 days of writing, learning, personal reflection, and exercises to help you create your legacy project.
This will be a true retreat away from the busy-ness of life. Held at the Franciscan Center in sunny Tampa, Florida, you’ll experience serenity in a setting adjacent to the Hillsborough River, undisturbed by traffic or noises of the city. This unique space has such a magical appeal. I know it will nurture your creativity and set the tone for accessing your creative muse.
