  • This event will be made up of hands on exhibits to teach adults and children about usability and sustainability. Exhibits will include: Thermostat Challenge: Valuable energy and millions of dollars are wasted each year on unnecessary heating and cooling. Is your thermostat to blame? Help us evaluate different models, and try to beat the buzzer when setting up a programmable thermostat. Flushed with Pride: As precious natural resources get depleted, our awareness and need to find products that conserve these resources increases. The movement towards toilet redesign and water conservation is what these displays, videos, and handouts are targeted towards. Sustainable Pups: The Mid-America Rottweiler Rescue organization will showcase well-designed products for dogs, test your knowledge and award you with prizes in a game of Build the Sustainable Pup, and offer you a meet and greet opportunity, weather permitting, with a warm, loving and friendly rescued Rotty.
