October 13, 2010 at 9:00 AM - October 14, 2010 at 5:00 PM
The Great Victoria Hotel, Bradford
This course is a highly interactive two day workshop where delegates take turns to lead their team to success. Delegates are spilt into teams and challenged to build the most successful business. As part of the challenge they have to develop leadership and effective team building skills. Working together as a team they will be making and taking decisions on all matters of running the simulated business including, strategy, produ...cts numbers of staff, pricing, loans, forecasting etc. After each round the team is provided with a full P&L and balance sheet results.
The business simulation is an excellent way of learning by doing. Delegates get to experience first-hand how different styles of leadership and management impact on the levels of motivation and “commitment” of the team to the business. After each “week” in business the performance of the leader and the team is evaluated by the group and valuable feedback is gained for future “weeks” in business.
Over the two days delegates are introduced to a number of leadership and management theories via activity as they work their way through the simulation. Delegates will also undertake a number of personal inventories that will provide them with a unique insight to their own management style and the style preference of others.
