CEU - Hidden Connections: Eating Disorders, Trauma and Substance Abuse

Earn CEU credit while learning about the complex relationship between eating disorders and co-occurring disorders, with a particular focus on trauma and substance abuse. Belmont Behavioral Health and Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center are co-sponsoring this half-day conference, which includes presentations by two leading experts on comprehensive, integrated eating disorder treatment. Susan Merle Gordon, Ph.D., is the clinical program manager of the Mood & Eating Disorders Unit at the Belmont Center for Comprehensive Treatment in Philadelphia. Dr. Gordon is a clinical psychologist with an extensive background in treating both substance abuse and eating disorders. Kim Dennis, M.D., is a board certified psychiatrist and the medical director at Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center. Dr. Dennis is nationally respected for treating women and girls suffering with eating disorders and substance abuse, with or without trauma and/or co-occurring disorders. Registration opens at 8am, and free continental breakfast will be provided. The presentation begins promptly at 830am. This event is intended to educate a professional audience, but all interested members of the public are welcome to attend. Counselors, social workers and psychologists are eligible for 3 CEU credits.
