Austin Energy and the Clean Energy Incubator announce the fifth annual Clean Energy Venture Summit, on September 28-29, 2011 at the AT&T Conference Center in Austin, Texas. This year, the Summit will host two different business competitions: a pitch competition with a new focus on later-stage Clean Energy startup companies, and the first South Central Regional Judging & Awards for the Cleantech Open, a national seed-stage business plan competition. In addition, the conference will include two excellent panels. The first will include Larry Weis, General Manager of Austin Energy, as well as other utility industry leaders. The second panel features Brewster McCracken, Executive Director of the Pecan Street Project, moderating a panel with experts from Sony, Best Buy, LG, and Intel talking about consumer adoption of smart grid devices.
