Purpose
The purpose of this conference is to provide the DoD and multi-national architecture communities with a way to bridge the gap between architecture and programs and a forum to help standardize architecture and architecture-driven analysis in organizations.
Focus
The conference focus is on how architecture delivers capability to the warfighter. The conference will emphasize the user experience and will share the current practice and application of the DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) in delivering capabilities to the warfighter that contribute to achieving an information advantage.
The conference reaches out to major commands, services DoD agencies, the intelligence community, OMB and other Federal Departments, and multinational partners to present cross-cutting information on best practices as well as unparalleled networking opportunities for the enterprise architecture community. The conference promotes architecture as the Defense enterprise foundation for delivering capability. The conference will also provide:
*A framework for developing DoD EA community and industry partnership
*A forum for updates on policy and practices
*An opportunity for discussion of tools methods and best practices
*A partnership between government and industry to help make DoD architecture agile and effective
*A platform for developing and conducting focused workshops between annual conferences that help accelerate implementation of architecture to support capability development
