Edublogging Book Launch (Acorda Press)
March 16, 2010 at 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Les 3 Brasseurs, Crescent and Ste-Catherine, Montréal
Kristina Schneider's book, Edublogging: A Qualitative Study of Training and Development Bloggers (ISBN 978-0-9813448-0-5), is one of the first ever academic studies on what it means to be a blogger in the training and development field. Focusing on important aspects of professional development and the role that peer recognition plays in the establishment of authority in a given domain, Kristina comes up with some very interesting and compelling conclusions.
The book launch is part of a bigger event, the Acorda Press launch party. The official kickoff of Acorda Press is going to take place with not one, but TWO book launches by Kristina Schneider and George Saridakis. Please come by and meet Kristina and George and talk about their experience getting published as first-time authors. This will also be a great time to catch up with old friends and schoolmates if you are a Concordia Ed Tech student or graduate… and the latest gossip in the training and development field.
Copies will be on hand for sale at a special launch price, and Acorda Press will be raffling off 2 copies of each book. Purchase the book in March and Acorda Press will be donating $2 donation to disaster relief in Haiti and
Chile for each book sold in the month of March including on-line purchases (email proof
of purchase to ray@acordapress.com)
