Greg Cangialosi the President/Founder of Blue Sky Factory will outline the basics and intermediate strategies and tactics of using email as a marketing mechanism.
A young, entrepreneurial force in online marketing, Greg Cangialosi has been creating a strategic online presence for a collection of today's most impressive companies - from Fortune 500 to entertainment, retail and hospitality clients - since 1997.
As president and founder of Blue Sky Factory, a communications service provider focused on email and RSS technology, Mr. Cangialosi is responsible for the overall vision and strategy of the company and oversee day-to-day operations, marketing/sales, technology and development/R&D initiatives. Blue Sky Factory provides email marketing support for such well-known brands as PGA, Under Armour, US Airways, 7-Up/Dr. Pepper, Microsoft, Jim Beam, Best Buy, MSNBC and Pfizer. Under Cangialosi's direction, the company has built a niche in the advertising/public relations arena, serving as a "secret weapon" to many of today's largest and most respected marketing firms including J. Walter Thompson, Weber Shandwick and The Laredo Group.
As an ambassador of new and emerging media, Cangialosi maintains a reputation for serving as a pioneer in today's online landscape. His involvement in the corporate podcasting industry began when the medium was new to market, when, in partnership with Michael Geoghan, Cangialosi produced Disney's first podcast, live from the red carpet at Walt Disney Land's 50th anniversary celebration. Since then, he has produced Podcasts for companies such as Verizon Wireless, GM/ Pontiac, Dow Chemical and Ortho-McNeil.
Cangialosi is also a seasoned lecturer on the topic, and is a repeat presenter at annual Podcast Academy events. His personal podcast, "ROI Radio," can be heard at www.roiradio.com. In addition, Cangialosi is lead author on the newly released book, "The Business of Podcasting" - a primer on the rising medium. In addition to Podcasting, Cangialosi is an active blog advisor and self-created blogger, maximizing the impact and readability of his clients' blogs, and his own - www.thetrendjunkie.com. His company recently purchased and integrated two powerful RSS to email technologies - RSS FWD and Blogarithm - allowing subscribers to connect to the blog and RSS syndicated content they seek via email notification on an opt-in basis.
Prior to starting Blue Sky Factory, Cangialosi was a managing director at 0280 (zerotoeighty), a Baltimore technology firm that focused on web and wireless development projects. During his tenure at 0280, Cangialosi served as the Director of Business Development leading the company to $1.1 million in revenue its first year. He also founded Missing Link Media Productions, Inc, a Baltimore-based event production and promotions company, where he planned and produced a variety of events throughout the Baltimore/Washington region.
He is a graduate of University of Maryland Baltimore (UMBC) and serves on the board of directors for the University's alumni association. In addition, he is an active board member for Baltimore's Federal Hill Main Street.
