Keep Calm and Carry On: How the GoC is Addressing Cyber Attacks
September 29, 2011 at 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Novotel, Ottawa
What do government departments do if they are under attack (and would they know)? Call the Cyber Threat Evaluation Centre (CTEC), notify CCIRT, CSIS, RCMP, or start mitigating the breach? This seminar focuses on the experiences of a Government CIO in dealing with typical threats that any government or industry organization in this age of complex multi-vectored attacks. What would you say to your users and how would you communicate with upper management. What direction would you give your IT staff in responding to the breech and mitigating the effects of the attack? How will the upcoming changes to IT governance within the Government of Canada affect or improve our ability to deal with these types of incidents.
