Openmind, a forward-looking international conference focusing on openness in business, technology and innovation, is held annually in Finland, the birthplace of Linux. Openmind is an open forum for 200 open source professionals, community members and academics.
Openmind 2011 has two themes:
1) Penguin's 20th Birthday - Linux: back then, now and tomorrow
2) Open Source Around the World - What's happening in the Americas, North Africa, Europe, Asia and Russia?
Speakers include Jos Poortvliet (SUSE), Jan Wildeboer (Red Hat), Gianugo Rabellino (Microsoft), Aaron Seigo (KDE.org), Imed Hammouda (TUT), Mikko Puhakka (C2I Ventures), Paul Wolneykien (ALT Linux), Pasi Nieminen (Nomovok).
Openmind is organized by the Finnish Centre for Open Source Solutions (COSS) in association with the MindTrek conference. Openmind 2011 will be held on MindTrek's Partner Sessions day on Wednesday September 28th in Scandic Hotel Rosendahl, Tampere, Finland.
